Barb works with the Board of Directors on organizational issues and manages the daily operations of the Home Office. She has over 20 years of financial, record keeping, contract negotiation and personnel experience. Barb joined PTG in 2000 as the Financial Manager and became Executive Director in February, 2002. Barbara likes working for PTG because of the hard working, honest, and personable people. Bonus fact: She raced go-karts, midgets, and sprint cars competitively as a youth.
Sandy Roady • Membership/ Convention Managersandy@ptg.org
Sandy is the annual convention coordinator and also manages membership records. She is experienced in association management, publications, sales, customer service, database management, and desktop publishing. Sandy first joined PTG in 1987. Sandy likes working for PTG because of the friendships she has made and the family feeling of the organization. Bonus facts: She also goes by "Sam" - a family nickname - and is a diehard NASCAR fan.
Kathy Maxwell • Development/Merchandise Managerkathy@ptg.org
Kathy works with membership recruitment, chapter support, continuing education and leadership development. She also manages merchandise sales and new product development. Originally trained as an educator, Kathy has more than 20 years experience in nonprofit management, continuing education programs, certification, and educational marketing. She joined PTG in 2000. Bonus fact: She is a piano player and church musician.
Jason Hensley • Finance/Admin. Managerjason@ptg.org
Jason manages PTG financial records, billing, and payables, along with monitoring revenue and expenditures. He helps members with questions regarding invoices, dues payments, expense reports, merchandise, etc. Jason has a masters degree in accounting with experience in health care and hotel/restaurant management. He joined PTG in 2002. Jason likes working for PTG because he has the flexibility to help in other member service areas.
Shawn Bruce • Marketing Managershawn@ptg.org
Shawn works with advertisers in placing and designing ads in the Piano Technicians Journal and other PTG publications. He also sets up external advertising and promotional efforts for PTG and is responsible for the annual convention trade show and PTG booth at NAMM. Shawn is a former newspaper reporter/editor and public relations specialist. Shawn joined PTG in 2001.Shawn enjoys being a part of the musical world through his PTG contacts and likes working with the PTG Home Office staff. Bonus fact: He plays several musical instruments and is part of a bluegrass band.
Jason Wheeler • Art and Design Manager jasonw@ptg.org
Jason produces the monthly PT Journal and other advertising/promotional materials. He has 13 + years of marketing and graphic design experience working with companies like The Kansas City Star and Volvo North America. He is a thumb wrestling champion in 52 states and avid reader of minds. He tends to get an unusual amount of free food at fast food restaurants and loves all pets as long as they are dogs. He likes working at PTG because everyone here takes pride in the work they do and in the Guild.

Sara is often the first voice you hear when you call the PTG office. She is responsible for fulfilling PTG Store orders, giving technician referrals, providing information to prospective members, handling a wide variety of member requests, and providing clerical support for the entire staff. She also helps with many special projects. Sara is studying for a business degree. Bonus fact: When Sara isn't studying, she is trying to keep up with her rambunctious dog Tucker.
