The Auxiliary of the Piano Technicians Guild consists of men and women that support and encourage the Piano Technicians Guild, its mission and its members. Conventions and seminars provide opportunities for members to become better acquainted at informal gatherings and tour places of local interest. In addition, the Auxiliary provides programs aimed at those in supporting roles to piano technicians such as business classes, customer relations, marketing and other assorted topics.
A major focus of the PTGA is to award two annual scholarships given to state winners of the high school and college piano competition. In doing this, the Auxiliary highlights outstanding young piano talent while focusing on the piano industry, particularly piano technicians.
