Randy Potter and the Randy Potter School of Piano Technology
hosted a reception Monday night.
Our Opening Celebration featured a roll call of the states
(and countries) represented by attendees and a number of awards.
Leon Speir and Larry Crabbe were inducted into the PTG Hall of Fame.
After the Opening Celebration, comedian Jerry Farber entertained
the group with his piano humor. RPT Jim Harvey was called on
stage to help with the routine.
International attendees networked during a special reception.
The Auxiliary hosted a recital featuring Annie Guo and
Allen Yu, winners of the New York junior and senior division
MTNA piano competitions.
PTG Foundation President Jack Wyatt presented a
special award to Nolan Zeringue.
Laura Olsen was also recognized by the PTGF
for her services to the Foundation.
The Auxiliary held their business meeting and elected officers.

Chapter leaders and PTG committee members met together
for lunch and to hear a presentation by webmaster Ron Berry
on electronic resources available through the PTG website.

Melanie Brooks shared a thank you message at the
Golden Hammer Banquet Friday night from her mother
Vivian Brooks. Vivian and husband Wally were the 2006
Golden Hammer Award recipients. PTG President
Kent Swafford emceed the banquet.
Larry Crabb and his barbershop chorus opened for the
Yamaha Big Band reception Saturday night.
PTG members roused the crowd Saturday night with
big band music.
What a great ending to another successful convention!
