NEW! Grand Opening Session• 7:30 p.m.
New this year, the Grand Opening Session will include the
presentation of the Golden Hammer Award!  The recipient
will then have all week to bask in our adulation. The award
will be on public display in the exhibit hall during normal
hall hours, and the Guild’s newest Golden Hammer recipient's
special week will culminate Friday night with the Golden
Hammer Banquet in his or her honor.  In addition, the
Opening Session will include the presentation of the
Jack Greenfield and Examiner of the Year awards.
You will be able to participate in the roll call of the states,
witness this year’s inductee(s) into the PTG Hall of Fame
and see who receives the Member of Note Awards for 2006.
CHOOSE YOUR GRAND DOOR PRIZE !!!  PTG and the
Foundation have teamed up to provide an opportunity for
one lucky attendee of the Grand Opening Session to choose
a special door prize from the PTGF Silent Auction items.
The winner’s choice of prize (and its donor) will be
announced during the banquet.  If you’ve never
participated in the PTGF Silent Auction you are in for a
treat.  Items have ranged from the small and inexpensive
to trips to China as donated by Pearl River Pianos in 2005.
Of course, all auction items will be on display throughout
the convention in the PTGF booth in the exhibit hall and
we encourage you to MAKE A BID.

Stretching the Way to Start the Day
What a fantastic way to start your day!
Prepare your body and encourage your
brain for learning. Join Craig Bloch at
7:15 a.m. on Thursday, Friday &
Saturday mornings for a 20-30 minute
stretching class. You won’t believe how
energizing it will be. Stretching to start a
day, helping one reduce physical and
mental stress, is from the disciplines of
Yoga and Karate. These warm-ups are
often the ones chosen to loosen up one’s
muscles prior to a workout. Or in this
case, getting one’s body prepared to start
a new day. No prior experience is
needed. Wear loose clothes like sweats,
and bring a large towel like a beach
towel, or a mat. Craig has 30 years
experience practicing and teaching Karate
in the JKA organization(Japan Karate
Association). In the last few years he has
started doing Yoga workouts to increase
his flexibility and to help reduce stiffness
and stress. Check the program book for
room location.
