The IAPBT was formed in 1979. The purpose and objectives of the
organization are to maintain a worldwide fellowship of piano
technicians and piano builders and to provide a means for and
encourage freedom of exchange of technical information and any
other subjects of related interest.

The 2007 IAPBT conveniton was held in Daegu, Korea. Delegates had headphones for
simultaneous translation.
IAPBT participants were treated to
traditional Korean Music.
