Baldwin pedal saga continues

Hi, Michelle:
    Looking back at your previous post, you mentioned that there's no lost motion, and that the pedal is hard to push.  You should have some lost motion, but maybe the professor wanted to have it adjusted that way.  There is likely a spring on the trapwork lever, so perhaps that spring could be removed.  If you remove the spring and it doesn't help much, there may be a problem with the leverage ratio (doubt it, but...).  Which model Baldwin?  How old?  Any info would be helpful.

  Hi everyone.  I sure hope you can help with this issue.  I e-mailed a couple of days ago but haven't heard any suggestions.

   

  The customer complaint (college piano professor, home piano) is a "mushy" sustain pedal on a Baldwin grand.  I've since found out that she's had TWO nationally known techs look at it with no positive results.  And she thinks the newbie is going to fix it?  =)   She's really pleased with my tunings however so I want to try and help her.  

   

  Any suggestions?  Thanks very much in advance.
