Eliminate the possibility, as I do, of the alleged dreaded laptop 
temporary tepid tuning tampering trauma by placing laptop somewhere 
else, like lid of grand on short stick, floor, nearby table, chair or 
even on bench next to you. I use a mike which has a long cord(laptop 
has NO onboard mike) which affords me a great variety of options.

Ya might even do an aural tuning...
