Phil,
As with any used object, it's worth whatever someone will pay.  
Unfortunately it isn't a larger upright, and as such might not be worth 
putting a lot of rebuilding work into. 
As for how honest to be:  there's only one answer to that, and I think 
you know it.
Honesty is fairly binary - you either are or aren't.
I wish more piano techs would be honest with their clients, and give 
them realistic evaluations of their instruments.  Instead, we keep 
tuning and limping along pianos whose musical service has been over for 
some time. (I'm not speaking to you personally of course)

I think technicians should be more honest about these "beautiful old" 
pianos - and support their local dealers by encouraging these customers 
to find something newer that will better suit their needs.
