I'm kind of surprised there weren't more response to this, I guess you guys
nailed it.
I would go with Conrad's advice and get the sample kit from Renner, but as
long as Brooks offers the complete service of hanging and shaping tails, I
might as well keep my life simple and go with that. I was hoping to try the
wurzens but It'll wait til the next set.
BTW, yup, it's 5'4" stem to stern.

Are you sure about the size? The E we have here (#62122) is more like
5'8" or 9", 20 bass.

I replaced the shanks here more than 20 years ago with "old Baldwin"
from APSCO. Pianotek, Schaff and Renner have full size catalog
illustrations and Renner even has a kit with actual parts that you can
insert into the action to see which one would be a proper replacement,
and I _would_ replace them...
