Glues used in instruments

I saw this article and it made me think about a post that I made earlier. 
I dip ivory wafers and scrape the glue off to glue ivories back on.   It is 
thinner than leaving the wafer there and the glue cant spill or leak.   Also 
it has a long shelve life and is made for the application.   Thanks for the 
confirmation.
