Have you guys ever tuned an old Bauer upright from the midwest?

If you are referring to a Julius Baur, yes, two of them.  Both tuned well
for their age and condition. The tuning pins were smooth but firm, and the
strings rendered well.big, full sound from the bass.  I had one for about
one month before someone visiting, saw it in my shop and bought it as
is.loved the touch and tone.
