I'm quite sure the arrangement is original : it is not worn at all and looks like mint factory work.

  Thanks for the pic. R U sure the leather on the tails wasn't added by a tech to improve checking? It suggests an interesting experiment for worn-out grand backchecking because it would be easier than replacing the actual backcheck leather. Whaday'allthink?
