>>Also small imperfections are quickly and easily filled with ca glue. Any
body flippin out yet? Yes CA. Fill the dent with Ca & spray on the hardner
but keep it wet for a feww seconds so nothing turns white. Let it sit up an
hour & Then block sand it flat & shoot lacquer over it. It will be
inviisble. It doesn''t shrink either.
If the dent is on a vertical surface, spray a little accelerator on the
sticky side of a piece of masking tape, apply thick CA to the dent and
immediately cover with the tape.

Ok good
Then if it's going to be black we typically use Bondo to fill gauges, dents
etc. Yes, auto plastic type filler. Since it's black it absolutely doesn't
matter what's under the black as long as it fills & is flat. Bondo doesn't
shrink either. Cool aye? On the corners with busted edges or dents we use
wood glued on with Ca glue. We call this football. It's a slick trick MIke
Bingham shared this with me. post him about it.
The brass inlay name decal means it's German. You can spray black over
the entire fall board once its' prepped...as a base black coat. Sand it
flat with 400-600 wet & until the brass shows thru the black. Then finish
the rest of the top coats in clear gloss lacquer. & then rub out as per
usual. Make Sense?
Good Luck
