Are there many piano techs who are veterans?

Hi Les,

The way I found out about the lecture on tinnitus was by getting on the 
NCRAR website to email Dr. Lilly about visiting him when I take Murray back 
to OHSU for his surgery follow-up appointments.

Dr. Lilly spent quite a long time talking with me after his keynote address 
at the IHS convention in Seattle and seemed quite interested in the piano 
tech's hearing.

I will be compiling information, and any questions anyone sends me to ask 
him when I am there next Thursday.

Diane, are you saving replies to this?  I have erased a bunch, but think
they'd be good for Gloria to have.       I got an emergency gig for a John
Legend tonight, the call coming from some lady who said, "My dad plays for
the symphony and gave me your name!"  That's me first major concert gig
which has come strictly because people "in the business" know my name a
little bit. I'm pretty darned pumped about it.

Are any of you veterans?  Do any of you have tinnitus?

Thursday evening I will be attending a talk; "Treatment for Hearing Loss and
Tinnitus: State of the Art" by Dr. David Lilly, at one of the largest, most
up-to-date hearing research centers in the counry, the new National Center
for Rehabilitative Auditory Research.

I was fortunate to meet Dr. Lilly at a recent hearing convention and am
looking forward hearing him speak again and to finally seeing the research
center.

Since this facility is part of the  Veteran's Administration, their focus is
on helping veterans with their hearing problems and I am wondering how many
piano technicians are veterans.  It would be a good talking point if I ask
them for help with research for piano tech's hearing problems.
