Piano Learning Center Curriculum Contest • Contest rules and entry form
Five $200 cash prizes will be awarded for the best and most innovative curriculum items submitted by PTG or MTNA members for the online Piano Learning Center (www.ptg.org/learningcenter.) The PTG Teacher Relations Committee is looking for interactive activities that encourage hands-on learning, and are appropriate for use by teachers and/or music students from beginner to advanced.

Entries can be in the form of individual or group games (online, apps, print), puzzles, lesson plans for teachers, independent or group study projects for students, and any other types of learning materials that can be accessed or downloaded via a web site. They should focus on how a piano works, or how knowledge of the piano can help improve learning and performance.

The Piano Technicians Guild is proud to support piano teachers and their students through the free learning resources available in the Piano Learning Center at www.ptg.org. Launched in 2006, the Piano Learning Center brings together a wide variety of materials for teachers and students. It features a dynamic, ever-growing library of fun and educational materials focusing on the piano and its unique features. Visit the Piano Learning Center to see what type of materials are currently available.

Entries are due by December 31, 2012 and should be submitted electronically via email, as a web site link or on CD to the Piano Technicians Guild, 4444 Forest Avenue, Kansas City, KS 66106, ptg@ptg.org. Download contest rules and an entry form, or contact the Piano Technicians Guild at 913-432-9975 for more information.
